About me
My name is Michał, I live in Poland, in the capital of Lower Silesia – the beautiful city of Wrocław. I work professionally in IT. Privately, I like theater, traveling and computer games. I have a family – my girlfriend Ewelina is a fantastic make-up artist and hair stylist, if it weren’t for her, many of my photos would simply not have been taken. We have a wonderful daughter Matylda. I am colorblind, I can’t distinguish some colors, but that doesn’t mean I only like black and white photos 🙂
My photographic beginnings
I won’t write anything original. I started taking pictures as a small child, snapshots of everything that caught my eye. And so, slowly, slowly, a childish fascination with a new toy turned into a passion. Other interests passed and photography accompanies me to this day. 🙂
What is photography to me?
Pleasure 🙂 Escape from gray reality into the colorful world of creativity.

My photography is...
My photography is a broadly understood portrait. A conscious, posed, creative, sometimes sensual portrait.
I like extremes – on the one hand simplicity, almost ascetic photos in black and white, on the other photographic Byzantium, colorful, stylized photos with extensive make-up, costumes, rich hairstyles.
Style? I don’t have a style. I have habits, skills, aesthetics. I appreciate attention to detail and visual coherence of photos that make up a certain project. I like blur, photos taken with a wide open aperture. Although I take photos with digital equipment, I like the atmosphere of analog photography. My photos show a fascination with old painting. I really like outdoor photography, but most of my works are studio photos.
It inspires me...
The greatest inspiration for me is the painting of old masters. I am inspired by the content, the way models are presented, the colors and the chiaroscuro. Sometimes the courage with which the creator was able to break the established patterns.
Planned or spontaneous photos?
It depends. There are sessions that I plan for a long time, I look for the right models, models, people who will help me create a photo. I think about the concept, I plan how the photo should look in the end. I like such sessions, I like the whole process of working on the image. More often, however, I take photos spontaneously, without having an idea beforehand, not knowing what I want to achieve. I also like to take part in sessions where I implement other people’s ideas.
Studio, outdoor or maybe both?
Both, it all depends on the subject of the session. I like to use artificial light, I like to define the lighting of the set myself. Also outside.
Hobbyist or professional?
Definitely a hobbyist. Professionally I do something completely different, photography is an escape from everyday life and a pleasure after the hardships of everyday life. Despite this, I sometimes accept commercial orders or conduct paid workshops.
